i just got permanently banned from reddit because of a comment i posted about jeff bezos (which reddit may have viewed as a ‘violent threat’) on a subreddit (or i’ve been posting a bit too fast). the site said “check your inbox”, but i DIDN’T see a message. i have some suspicions that i may have been banned for no reason whatsoever - i’ve just submitted a ban appeal, and i expect a response from them soon.
until then, i’m gonna be posting on this site. NO guarantees that i’ll be back on reddit - the day i get unbanned will be the day half-life 3 gets released (that or the day there’s peace between ukraine and russia or palestine and israel). seriously!
UPDATE: reddit looked at my appeal and said ‘i DON’T know, you still threatened violence, so you’re still banned’ - reddit should realize that the first amendment (which gives people the freedoms of speech, of press and of religion, and to assemble peacefully and to redress grievances) allows me to say that ‘jeff bezos should see a gill o’ teen’ - i would submit an appeal, but reddit says i have to submit one or two appeals a day, so i guess i’m stuck here now. seriously!
is hexbear like animal farm (if napoleon DIDN’T take over)?
No. Orwell was a snitch and at best a social fascist pretending towards socialism.
is there any reason why you think social democracy is ‘social fascism’ (because social democracy and democratic socialism are more ‘socialism-lite’)?
If it exists within a bourgeois democracy, it is inherently anti-democratic. If it exists to soothe the class conflict and promote class collaboration and nationalism (but with national profit sharing) as the solution to that problem it is fascist.
They aren’t ‘socialism-lite’ because they simply aren’t socialism. They are just imperialists who understand that you have to maintain a labor aristocracy for national stability.
would you consider de leonism as an alternative to social democracy?
Syndicalism is not a functional ideology because it has no way to take power. There is no such thing as peacefully transferring from capitalism to socialism while the capitalist world order remains.
Did it work? Or was it immediately crushed without even getting to form any kind of resistance to capitalist dominance, however flawed?
i forgot why you asked that - i assume you’re talking about the appeal. again, when i submitted my first appeal yesterday, reddit’s like ‘well, you threatened violence, so you still got banned’ - my latest appeal probably referenced that. i really hope i get a response from them soon. seriously!
Lol no, I am talking about Syndicalism. I could give less of a shit about reddit.
I rarely post this, but I have now had reason to twice in 24 hours: https://redsails.org/jones-on-animal-farm/
Animal Farm specifically is a really gross book, though I’m totally not putting anything on you for that. It’s something that gets pushed on everyone in the anglophone world and many other places besides.
can you explain why?
Can you ask a more specific question? The link explains Animal Farm being gross and it was my assumption that the book being pushed heavily in neoliberal education is self-explanatory.
is it because of the talking pigs - later in the novel, napoleon becomes very very anthropomorphic
No, I mean politically gross. Orwell hates poor people. Look at the thing I linked instead of guessing.
I can’t tell if you are replying to a bit account or a bot trained on Hexbear introduction posts.
Edit: since found out the user is genuine, has autism, and some communication problems. I apologise for calling them a potential bot.
