    It really is the most selfish generation that exists. They had a great time and bought a house cheap, lived a good life, then pulled the ladder up behind them because fuck everyone else, they won’t live to face their consequences.

          add survivorship bias, it is easier for the privileged to grow old.

          the gay community was decimated, so gay elders are rare for example

      It really is the most selfish generation that exists.

      It’s selection bias. Nothing about this generation is meaningfully more selfish than any other.

      We just had an enormous population cull after decades of War on Crime/Drugs/Terrorism that chewed up the Evil Socialists and left us with Randroid Libertarians holding the lion’s share of wealth

      Have you heard of the Monopoly experiment? Ladder-pulling is what humans do. Even when it’s clearly demonstrated that they only won a rigged game, the winners attributed it to their own skill.
