      i get the anti generation sentiment, but also people will flip the fuck out when counties in the US are passing property tax exemption for seniors. call them boomers or old or senior or whatever, it’s clear that the laws are constantly changing in order to privilege the older, more conservative and wealthier voting blocks.

      Old people have literal legal and economic protections that young people don’t have. They get out of paying property taxes that young people are required to pay.

      Also it’s illegal to discriminate in hiring against someone for being too old but totally legal to discriminate against someone for being too young. Which is extra insane because it would’ve been less work to not make that exception, the law could’ve just banned age-based discrimination in hiring full stop.

      Generation shit should be meaningless, but in practice it’s class warfare, because boomers are overwhelmingly wealthier than younger generations.
