    Hot take and this will tell you a lot about the media I intake.

    Straight relationships are often portrayed as super toxic, because toxic is the “norm” (think “old ball and chain” jokes).

    Queer media (at least the type I consume) tends to have more healthy representation of romantic relationships.

    When I see straight couples on TV/movies/whatever being healthy and sweet, I genuinely do think “that’s pretty gay” but in the best way, you know?

    Gay is compliment and nobody can change my mind.

      I mean, gay literally means ‘offering fun and gaiety’. And gaiety means ‘a gay feeling’…

      Getting away from imbalanced relationships to unions of mutual trust and understanding is based.

      That said, toxic relationships can be fire in fiction so long as they aren’t portrayed as a good thing.
