That makes sense actually. You have to be sincere and if you’re sincere you’ll do what you can to help people, and for some people “what you can do” is pretty much nothing.
It still seems a little unnecessary though. You don’t think 10,000 years is enough time to atone for like 40 years of sin? Really evil neanderthals are still down there suffering and they deserve it? I don’t think I can get behind that.
