Could those of us that aren’t aware get the name?
Ranma 1/2. From a strict reading of the material, Ranma is not himself trans (he insists he’s a guy even when in female form), but someone that changes bodies from male to female on a regular basis understandably resonants with a lot of trans people.

Haven’t watched it yet. Still, an incongruence between body and mind seems like a defining feature of the gender dysphoria. Sounds pretty transmasc to me.
Ranma 1/2. It’s from the same mangaka that made InuYasha.
oh damn I should def try it then, loved Inuyasha. Also looks like there was a recent adaptation by MAPPA, so lots to watch through.
Not trans and my favorite anime is Nausicaä.
I love most of Hayao Miyazaki’s stuff, and I do tend to prefer full movies to series in general.
Have you read the original manga? It’s even better than the already great film.
Nah, my first copy of the movie was a VHS we made off of HBO in probably '85 or '86. I might try to find the manga tho.
My favorite Ghibli movie, i just have a thing for post apocalypse stories where society rebuilds
Don’t really have a favorite of all time anime series… Do have a favorite Yuri franchise tho: I’m in love with the villainess
And my favorite anime movie: Howl’s Moving Castle.
My favorite anime from when I was “not trans” was Madoka, which not infrequently was shared in my facebook profile picture/cover photo as male characters of other shows wearing the outfits from Madoka. Certainly no deeper meaning to those crossovers pictures other than celebrating some of my favorite shows!
Are we the same
Not -Trans: Its Inuyasha.
Only only I’ve ever seen. A Trans person made me watch it. 😁
that’s still a great pick
