Usually the flag draped over the coffin thing is one of those extremely effective methods of national propaganda, kind of like how fighter jets look cool as hell despite knowing that they’re pretty much exclusively used for evil. IDK why but the Italian flag just doesn’t do it for me, they look like little buffet tables or something. They should probably adopt the 40k aquilla or something and just pretend that it’s Roman.
If you live anywhere that had a large influx of italian immigrants it just reads pizza-box instead of sovereign state. For reasons I do not know the italians decided to plaster their flag onto everything they sold - not that it’s bad stuff - but it does give pizza box / dolce vita on a highway rest stop vibes now.
