I mean, I’m not going to read an nyt opinion piece on gen z killing the Harry Potter industry, but I think it’s increasingly evident that gen z likes liberalism less than prior generations, and it makes sense that many people who don’t like liberalism would find the wizard cop books revolting. Also they’re just not good books and the marketing gimmick of aging with the audience was a one time feature of their publication.
Book one, two and three are good, fine and decent in decreasing order. After that it turns into bloated shit. Book one crimps Roald Dahls style and its nice.
