    My favourite is “Imported by Canadian address” it carries too high a risk of being American to buy.

    All American products need an American flag on the label and products that put no money into the US economy should have a prohibited symbol over it.

          I’d imagine it’s mandatory for an importer to have an address in Canada at least for their Canadian office. That label is like, legally the vaguest possible thing to say.

          It would be good to have percent of value added for each country a product has been in. Cotton from Zimbabwe 25%, weaving in China 50%, screen printing in Canada 25%, for example.

            It is, and that’s the complaint. It is a useless piece of information that does nothing to properly inform the consumer.

            Hopefully the petition (recently ended, IIRC) does something to motivate lawmakers to require “imported from” to be part of that label.
