My landlady has been searching the house for things to sell. We found a few things but something weird keeps happening. First we listed some pokemon card boxes. For weeks, no response then suddenly two different people messaged within an hour of each other, both wanting them. Then we advertised a footstool. Again, same thing, no response for weeks then on the same day within an hour two different people responded wanting it, and both rushing to be the first to get it. Then we found an old CD rack and advertised that, again, no response for weeks then tonight two people responding within an hour of each other both wanting to come and get it tonight. What is going on?
If it isn’t some obscure scam, then I’d guess it’s algorithm shenanigans. The first person interacting with the listing makes it more likely to pop up as a suggestion for others.
Oh, I didn’t know that.
i fucking hate selling anything on Facebook marketplace. I want to strangle every person who says “is this available” or “what’s the lowest you’ll take”
literally this morning a guy asked if i would take a lower price. i said im tired of people asking me that, make an offer. He said he saw something on amazon and that’s why he’s asking. I blocked him. Plz fuck all the way off and die.
my landlady priced all her items very low just to try and get some cash, anything at all quickly.
she should prepare for a bunch of messages that go nowhere
yep we had a lot of that.
Dunno but don’t get scammed
We’ve sold them all. CD rack £5. Footstool £10. £15 for one pokemon box and £20 for the other which was very disappointing as they’re meant to be worth a lot. So she’s got £50 to put towards the water bill, which will barely make a dent in it.

also she’s not selling anything real valuable it seems, most people who ask to buy things either arent real people or just fucking morons who won’t show up anyways
