Had something similar happen when i played for the first time, i died from reading the love letter in the ledger. A friend of mine got a heart attack in the first minute when she tried to turn off the ceiling fan.

My version of the game seems to spam autosave every 20 seconds and never deletes a save so maybe that’s newer behavior?
