Rant post

Some fucking MBA shithead decides to save a couple bucks on parts by putting plastic internals in a part that sees torque and now my fucking shower valve face comes shooting off the wall like it’s a goddamn rocket and I come back from being away to steam condensation dripping off the ceilings and water rifling out of the wall like the goddamn Trevi fountain

So now I shut off the water, pulled out the old cartridge with the valve stem broken clear in two and replaced it with a CHINESE one that is properly made out of FUCKING BRASS like it should have been in the first place, all of which could have been avoided if this made in germany bullshit had been properly built to begin with

German engineering my fucking ass

    German engineering my fucking ass

    I-was-saying

The whole almost eugenicist racial aspect that is tied to where shit is manufactured is a whole shibboleth of mystic bullshit layered on top of the National character of Peoples that creates a false reality of manufactured shit being graded with racial phenotypes instead of how it’s made.

    German engineering

Looks inside engine bay oh look at that, it’s a mess of decaying plastic and rubber hoses and seals, not meant to last longer than 150k miles, and each year that passes the car sounds more and more like a vacuum cleaner from all them little leaks

I hate how glass is literally infinitely recyclable and we as a society chose plastic instead because it’s less prone to break when underpaid teamsters huck boxes into trucks and now we’re going to die choking on micro plastics

I know more of it comes tires and polyester clothes but still

I get plastic instead of glass mostly, glass is heavy as shit. What I do not get is plastic instead of paper. Like if you need it to be tight to water, sure, but so much stuff is plastic with airholes, just use cardboard

I hate how everything is plastic but then it’s YOUR FAULT everything is plastic. Bro, I can’t buy anything else, take it up with the companies saving 1c per unit

  • I had the same problem lmao, I replaced the american made shitty plastic showerhead that kept breaking with a chinese showerhead so cheap that if it broke 3 times a year it would still be cheaper than the american made one. It has lasted 3 years now.

    German engineering my fucking ass

is it made in Germany because id bet it’s “made” (designed) in Germany but made in like China or something so the bourgeois get to pay lower wages and then blame the Chinese if there are complaints about the quality (which they specified and the chinese simply made)

I got a brutal water bill once from a tap failing like this. Hope you weren’t away too long.

we’ve broken 4 shower knobs in the past year. the only one that fits our shower is this cheap plastic piece of crap that snaps immediately if you try to turn it even slightly too hard.

Good thing you got that replaced while you did before Germany can replace the parts with ones that need proprietary tools to remove.
