    Looks like it’ll functionally just be a standard Windows PC with mass produced hardware (and thus specs can be tailored for by gamedevs). It makes sense as a thing to do and I’m surprised they haven’t done it already.

    Does Windows have a controller interface yet?

      They created one for the ROG Ally X.

      Funny that their “optimizations” for gaming were basically worthless.

        Windows has supported Xbox controllers for many years now, and even decades ago I was playing games off a floppy disk using a gamepad.

        The optimizations were worthless because Windows is the problem and focusing on gaming won’t solve the underlying issues with the OS or the high-level issues with its direction.

      Steam Deck and Steam Machine seem to have beaten them to the punch.

      XInput is the Windows controller standard, for the most part.
