On one hand, back before the invasion in Iraq, the US and its allies had deployed more than half a million troops in the region, and that isn’t even counting the masses of contractors for supply, logistics etc. and almost definitely doesn’t include the mercenaries the coalition sent there, either. It was a massive operation that the US had basically been preparing ever since 9/11 which was one and a half years before the invasion itself began.
And Iraq is smaller, less populous, geographically more accessible and has a weaker millitary than Iran.
On the other hand, if you point any of this out to Trump, odds are 90% he’ll just fire you.
But you forget, they have something they didn’t have in 2003: They can ask the AI to plan their invasion for them now, they just ask it for a plan that will give a 100% chance of victory with their current troops and then they’ll win!
