You’re coming at this from “any harm is suffering, no matter what” and I’m coming at this from a viewpoint of “maximum harm reduction, minus One Bad Day, for sustenance purposes.” In your eyes there is no “ethical meat” and in my eyes small farms with loving caretakers are fine.

Sure, but don’t fool yourself. Almost all livestock in the United States is factory-farmed, and it ain’t too different in other developed countries.
