Arent mines usually buried, are these floating or just sub-floating buoy-type mines?

I was thinking they were kind of like huge buoys floating in the water but as it turns out there are many different types of naval mines, TIL!

No idea how accurate this is but if this website is correct it sounds like Iran primarily has moored mines, bottom mines, and torpedo mines
