              Me: Hey, stop that!

Guy who broke into my house: What a great sentiment, but it’s unbelievably unrealistic throws my stuff into a giant bag there will always be things people will want to steal.

When criticism is levied against the empire, it gets framed as “stopping all violence forever.” The same framing is not used when it comes to criticism of enemies of the empire. Nobody talks about Iran in terms of “We can’t do anything about them because violence will always exists.” Why? Because they framed as being somehow uniquely beligerant, while the empire is framed as being “the normal amount” of beligerant - even though the empire is much more violent, beligerant, and aggressive than Iran or any other country.

You can want the most murderous regime on the planet to stop attacking countries without the expectation that all violence will end forever.

It doesn’t matter what country we’re talking about. People on a fundamental level will never stop killing eachother. Downvote me all you like. It will never stop. We will always find some reason to kill other people. Whether they’re poor, or a different color than us, or because your government tells you they’re a threat to you, or whether they’re building bombs to use on you, or they’re raping and pillaging your home. You act like there’s some magic light switch you can just flip and turn off all the violence. It must be nice to live in fairytale land. You yourself are a contradiction to yourself “oh stop all murder! Except amerikkka! Kill all Americans!”

lmao your yankee propaganda has you convinced that everyone is just as murderous as your stromtroops, they’re just faster and better equipped, but I can assure you that neither is true. You’re so deep in your propaganda that you can’t separate a population from it’s government either. Do you realise that your life isn’t magically tethered to the yankee government and people won’t just flop to the ground all over your occupied areas as soon as the white house is bombed?

Play the long game, fake it until politicians or even the President make their tours on bothering visiting the military bases. Hope it’s yours, then throw a grenade at that fucker.

Raised from 35 to 42, which is a big jump. At 35, the physical downward spiral is just beginning. At 42, it is typically well underway, especially in the U.S., where obesity runs rampant. They must be anticipating a slog similar to that when Russia invaded Ukraine.

Not just in Iran, Lindsey Graham seems to think we’re also gonna invade Cuba, probably parts of Latin America, and who knows, maybe Canada or Mexico to top it off. Multi-front wars aren’t a bad idea right? We have the logistics to fight two separate long-term wars, so what’s a third or a fifth?

Like it or not these huge issues with inequality in our country force people to make these decisions. These are the facts. Lack of healthcare, job opportunities and engineered poverty force people into the military. I don’t know your situation but I do know a lot of people from deeply impoverished areas join. For example a lot of Puerto Rican’s join because poverty has been engineered in their colony partially for this purpose. These are just cold hard facts

SHUT THE FUCK UP about privilege when you’re literally trying to justify slaughtering people in much, much poorer countries. States are partnering with schools to offer free welding, truck driving, health education. Maybe yours is one. Apply for emergency public benefits. Catholic charities often will give a grocery gift card. Salvation Army for clothing, possible rent assistance. LHEAP for energy assistance. It’s long, grueling, humiliating process but getting education helps qualify you for public benefits.

Edit: volunteering can help qualify for public assistance and offer training in other skills, but make sure it’s DSS approved.

He got out just in time for the AI bullshit and has gotten exactly one interview and no offers in two years of applying everywhere. I’m in a similar situation as someone about to leave university (also in an accelerated ~5 year Master’s program and just got my Bachelor’s last semester but decided not to continue next semester for financial reasons) and the disconnect between the education system and job market is so bad, I almost feel like college made me stupider. (Might look into PhD programs more though.)

Other concern is that in my current area of specialization I’m now struggling to find jobs that aren’t associated with the MIC or some three-letter agency and I’m starting to wonder if pursuing my interests is digging myself into a trap (or maybe the city I live in just sucks).

You wouldn’t consider it without your media-induced sense of invulnerability. Nobody actually wants to die from shrapnel, or get a TBI. That’s the reality of missile and drone warfare. You’re not kicking down families’ doors in Baghdad, Kyle. You either collect debtbux or perish. If you were serious, you wouldn’t be hoping the AoR takes care of it for you. Stop being melodramatic when other people’s lives are at stake. It’s a genocide, not a “dangerous job”. Solipsistic nonsense
