How do you “consider” cuts on something that practically doesn’t exist or are they considering cutting healthcare for the rich, because you can be fucking sure there isn’t anything left to cut from those living paycheck to paycheck.
Iirc, the current American healthcare system is actually subsidised by a greater amount than the cost of universal health care - ie, the cost to the government of providing free healthcare to every citizen would be less than they are spending now. America doesn’t lack universal health care because it’s expensive, they lack it because the current system funnels staggering amounts of wealth to the already wealthy.
