Hello I’m new here! I’m an autistic trans woman, excited to be part of a kind community.
It’s been a tough week, news about trans people has been awful and my job wont let me update my ID photo on my badge. I started my transition 1.5 years ago and present femme now. They refuse because they say I look too different, and can’t wear any makeup or have long hair for the ID photo.
I’m escalating with HR but it was really demoralizing. Otherwise things have been okay! I get to visit the city and see some close friends this month so that will help recharge my batteries :)

Leaving the Netherlands. Need to file a US tax extension which is pain. My partner got the “ghosted at the border” issue resolved. An HR person made a mistake but it got fixed. We can move forward with relocation in Canada. That was an anxiety producing 5 days!
Sad that the Netherlands was not for us. Housing crisis + academic burnout + just not fitting in + no job = move. I am recording my bike rides with a go pro knock off to remember the lovely biking infrastructure and nature. As well as the insanity of biking rush hour.
I did help our friends move from the US to down the street. They are a gay couple and finally feel safe here. That means alot to me as there are no better people I know than them and they deserve peace and happiness.
Sorry to hear you didn’t feel at home in NL but honestly I completely understand. Best of luck with the move!
I hope you find what you’re looking for here in Canada, welcome! Housing crisis is in full swing here as well but some provinces have it worst than others so do careful about that.

We left the US, spent time in the Netherlands, and got jobs in Canada. Its like the floor is lava but the international version where you avoid the USA.
I can do Switzerland without needing authorization. I think I’m too old for conscription.

Hey, I can spot you long-term illness if I can move out of Texas.
I am … livid. I made an appointment on Friday to meet with a dental practice this Friday. They waited until after 4 p.m. to text me and let me know “actually, we don’t sell dentures.” The ones she fucking quoted me on, and good luck getting movement on any other practice past 4. So now I have to wait until tomorrow just to get the whole process restarted somewhere else. Mom was going to treat me to a steak on Friday to celebrate … well, being able to eat a steak again.
