That’s a widespread misunderstanding. If this were the number one feature of capitalism, then China would be the most capitalistic country worldwide. There is MUCH more inequality in China than anywhere in the West, including Canada. In addition, inequality in China has been increasing in the last decades, particularly in the last 10 years.

As everyone can see, and as evidenced by a strong body ol research, China is among the least equal societies on the global.
Can we just please already start putting wealth caps in place world wide?
Nobody should be allowed to own over, say, ten million dollars. There is no reason to have more than that, there is nuo human right to bring that rich.
You reached 10 million? Awesome, all your following income will go 100% to taxes until you’re worth less. You are worth 100 million? Congratulations you get to select 90% of your wealth and give it to taxes.
Governments will finally get huge incomes that they then can use for a huge socialist network of services, like free education, retirement funds, free healthcare, great infrastructure, universal basic income, independent investment foundations that can pay for actual reliable press, you name it
Moreover, people will become more equal. Poverty can stop once the rich stop hogging all the resources. It will lower crime because “criminals” no longer need to be criminal to survive. Since nobody can be ultra wealthy anymore, nobody can become ultra powerful either, which is great for everyone because we no longer will have to deal with narcissistic assholes like trump rising to power through money.
Companies can no longer be owned and controlled by a single person or even family. You’ll need hundreds of similar shareholders for even a mid sized company, meaning you no longer have one person receiving all the benefits.
Media companies are the same. You’ll have hundreds, if not thousands of smaller media companies now, diversifying the information we receive
We need to stop acting like it’s normal for any of this. You want capitalism? Fine! Have it, but you can’t let parameters go without limits within a limited system. We can’t let people just become as rich as they want, it never ends well for anyone
These panama papers are just about people trying to get richer, yet again, by criminal intent. All of that will disappear when you simply can’t get any richer

The NDP aren’t capable of doing anything about it. Canadians need to understand how that wealth is growing and stop feeding it. Everywhere we spend our money matters. Investors just filter wealth to themselves through business. If we don’t group up and act together we’ll continue to get picked clean by these predators.
Do you understand how the wealth is growing? Who these people are? They’re the owners of all the news media, the grocery stores, the food producers (bread, meat, vegetable oil, potato products), toilet paper, cable/cell phone/internet, sports teams and channels, car manufacturing (supply chain)…
To stop funding them you’d have to go off the grid, grow your own food, no car, no internet, no news media, no sports. Sounds pretty difficult for the average person.
But not average people. We cut the arteries of wealth extraction or we accept our servitude and the poverty and mass suffering that it comes with. Which do you want? It isn’t an all or nothing thing. It’s a start working together to build the alternative and disconnect. A process, over time.
The NDP is a tool that Canadians can use. Other tools exist but that’s one.
Theoretically everything is a tool that could be used. The NDP would need to be completely rebuilt into a different thing to be of any real use. So the same thing could be said about the Liberals or the Green party.

I personally want more socialism, the socialism I want far left close to communism but the c word is scary to the masses.

There is very prevailent thing from right wing these days where specific phrases or words make people very uncomfortable and for that they like to use them even more.
You should know that even many on the left feel very negatively towards actual Communism and there’s a lot of Socialism without actually getting into Communism.
I would advise on reflecting on the manner of how you convey your point.
Fair point, it is just that I lean way to the left of socialism. Everyone who is able should be allowed a job, those who are unable should be allowed support. People who do the work should be the ones making the money not those sitting in offices, sure we need the people doing work in offices but they should not be the ones making all the money.
