Our society is largely optical, and most people’s art education (not formal, just the exposure to art) has way more examples of good visual art than anything aural.

It’s understandable prople can’t differentiate between formulaic bullshit music made by humans and formulaic music made by AI, when compared to formulaic visual stuff
