X’s new terms of service insist that tweets are now posts::X is rolling out a new terms of service on September 29th, and one adjustment is a single instance of “retweet” to “repost.” There are other changes regarding data scraping and class action lawsuits.

This guy throws away one of the most famous brands in the entire world and then says “uh, it’s the Jews!”. Out of all the incredibly stupid things he has said, I still find “And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.” especially irritating.

Makes you wonder why he bought it in the first place. He’s thrown everything away: the employees, the offices, the code, and now the brand.

Isn’t because the courts made him do it after he definitely very seriously said he would buy it? Honestly I’ve kinda lost track of the details at this point and am just enjoying watching the worlds slowest train smash from afar

Yeah, from what I understand, he said he was going to buy it, then changed his mind, then the shareholders sued him because I guess there was a tentative deal.

Just shows me that Elon doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing, so spez looks up to him now? Yeah, I’m lost too.

He didn’t just say he was going to buy it, he signed a legally binding contract and waived his right to back out of the deal, and then tried to anyway lmao, what a fucking dumbass child man

The board sued because the insane price he proposed was a much better monetary outcome for shareholders than waiting for Twitter itself to become profitable. But was a much worse outcome for its employees, users, and the rest of us…

Gonna go ahead and say that this is the BEST outcome for the rest of us. Employees and vendors for Twitter got the short end of the straw, but society as a whole would be blessed if Twitter went the way of the Dodo bird.

Oh those poor poor “users”. Remember kids, if you’re not paying for the service, you’re not the user, you’re the product.

Can’t have the plebes communicating. Puts the poor delicate billionaires at risk.
