Mario Party 4 sounds like a brutal and unfun thing to play by yourself. You’re so beholden to RNG. Some might spice up a game, but MP4 is like 30% if played optimally I reckon. And then you’re tempted to beat them all with a 2 star lead if memory serves and that’s subject to bonus stars
Astrobot would scratch the same itch or mini game speed runs in Jamboree if it must be Mario Party sound more fun. If it’s emulated N64 I’d highly recommend ROM hacks to spice it up.

playing by yourself doesn’t have any bearing on that, the whole series is bullshit gambling except when you get a callous on your hand from one of the n64 ones or say bigger into the microphone on i forget which number but the gif of jeff gerstmann is very funny
The point I was implying was that gambling with your friends would make it much funnier when something happens. Arguing about stealing stars and trying to time chance time rolls is quite the thing. Losing a single player campaign because of a mechanical, brightly colored fuck you is annoying. Bowser’s Big Blast is funny when you call your shot “everyone knows yellow is mellow”. Losing mini game star to RNG in the truest sense is annoying
