tbh the words “inclusion” and “transparency” still show up in the descriptions (for now); and “Always free” is still on the page.

That’s a very on the nose number for a dog whistle. 47 for trump and 88 is a famous nazi number.

i do think it reflects poorly on them to ever use “88”, even if it’s completely unintentional.
someone at marketing should be aware of the connotation and the company should listen to them when they say “hey maybe we should just bump that up to 89 or down to 87 so we don’t have a hitler number in the price”

you most certainly have the money and storage for whatever keepass-relative plus syncthing, because it uses a couple megabytes of storage at most and doesn’t need any central server.

Proton just passed their audit. I haven’t really used it so I can’t comment on how it is.

I use Proton’s full suite. Bitwarden’s browser extension is better iLO, but on the whole there’s nothing Bitwarden does that Proton’s can’t do.

without built-in syncing and browser auto-fill, that’s not really an alternative

Firefox has a browser autofill plugin.

And mobile browser can install desktop plugins.

Both can be had with keepaassxc browser addons and the right settings. Denying that is just bs.

if you’re tech savvy that’s not an issue. I have a family account on bit warden though, and introducing more hurdles for my family members to use it would absolutely be a nonstarter. They’d go back to post it notes and a notebook the same day.

The lack of tech abilities… And this isn’t, is quite disheartening since computers have been commonplace for 25 years
