I’ve adopted a cat like this. Except she wasn’t simply thrown tomatoes at; she was pregnant, and had both maxilar and cranial fractures. (Dunno if it was an accident or someone beat her up. And she lost the litter.) She got no coffee/chocolate but at least a blanket, plenty food/water and humans to cuddle with.

Yup, spayed a few months after adoption. I only give her treats rarely though, she’s now overweight. (Kind of weird to compare, she’s heavier than when she was pregnant.)

She has been living with us for almost 10 years now. Even the grumpy older cat got used to her.

    I have so many questions.

What is that creature? Why does it have tomatoes on it? Who is holding it? Is that part of the shame? Did it put itself in the shower or did the hand-haver put it there? Why do I feel so much emotion for an unidentifiable cartoon critter?

    Is this reverse loss?

      1. Cat.

      2. Thrown at the cat for asking “can I join?”

      3. A new friend, perhaps the artist (this was drawn in response to a a post).

      4. No, it’s part of making the cat feel better.

      5. Hand haver.

      6. Vicariously experiencing being loved after being hurt.

      7. No, it is missing the second entity in multiple panels. I’m defining reverse loss as |_ II II I, which it is not.

I’m currently keeping people alive by force in the hopes that the blanket exists somewhere and they’ll find it someday. It would take a lot of weight off my soul to add more certainty to that statement.

please remember to take space for yourself too. you are a caring and kind person (i am judging off of this single post alone, admittedly, but let’s pretend you are being sincere) and in order to care for others you have to make sure you can care for them. i hope you get to have a soft blanket post shower with hot beverage evening too. all the best. :)
