Sorry for another reddit-based post, but today reddit held a poll: Do you want the United States to become socialist? Most Americans voted No, and most non-Americans voted Yes.

Sorry Americans but as a non-American I want the US to balkanize and for most land to be returned to the native populations, or given to descendants of slaves as reparations. I don’t want the US to become socialist. I want it to disappear forever.

When the average American hears the word socialism, literally all they associate with the word is “gommulism no food”. That’s it. I’m not exaggerating. You might as well ask your dog if it wants socialism, it’s probably similarly educated on the matter.

Considering Reddit is the online country club of the west’s top 20% of the income bracket, any YES vote that exceeds 30% is a catastrophic signal for capitalism’s popularity even among its most materially advantaged adherents

  • Americans don’t know the meaning of the word. We gotta educate these fools so they know what’s good for them. Maybe get them to smoke a little less weed just for the study session so it sticks a little better

Can’t tell you how true this is. Getting someone high is the first step to breaking someone out of an ideology, cult, religion, worldview, etc. It shifts their perspective in a way that makes them understand, for the first time, that there’s more than one perspective, it breaks them out of philosophical solipsism based on assumptions and naivety.

Now, they don’t need to be high 24/7 for that to be true. Just one or two shroom, acid or weed sessions will usually open a bit of a third eye in most healthy proles. Unfortunately, of late the wonders of these drugs have been abused by the unhealthy and by our class enemies in distorted ways like “improving productivity” with micro-dosing acid (blegh) or dulling ourselves and self-medicating depression.

To an American, freedom means being free to ash your cigar in your servant’s face, and he can’t do anything about it because he’s too weak from hunger and depends on the pennies you pay him to survive.

American “Freedom” is the freedom to oppress and abuse anyone with less power/money/influence than you. This is true on every level of American society, from a middle manager boat dealer screaming at a service industry prole, to a corporation dumping toxic waste into a community’s water source, to the American government bombing and invading countries around the world.

Don’t forget rolling coal into pedestrians and cyclists lungs and smashing your Ford F5050 through a line of preschoolers crossing the street and delaying you from your rightful, God-given place in the Starbucks drive-thru line by 30 seconds

Hi, I’m an expert on American culture. I’d just like to clear something up.

You see, in the USA, words are only used for two things: hurting others or empty posturing. An American who posts something like “Starbucks is woke” is most likely waiting in the drive thru for their drink. In this way, the American gets to enjoy their sugary treat, and at the same time, shame others who might enjoy it as well. The American maintains their sense of individualism while doing the same thing that everybody else is doing.

I think US people are genuinely lost.

Iirc, there have been scientific polls that show younger generations of Americans support “democracy” in the abstract less than older ones. Overall, less people in the US have confidence that the US is a democracy than in the past

Freedom is when the galaxy is ruled by a bunch of nitwits corralled by the guiding hand of a sect of magical space wizards. Autocracy is when the galaxy is ruled by a telecom commercial spokesperson with a CPAP and a black cape.
