    The result could be a sharp increase in advertised rents across the market, even if final agreed rents settle lower.

    Hmm, sure seems like you ‘advertising’ lower prices was actually screwing people over anyway.

      * Actually, most places I don’t even have to supply fine print, and can raise the rent as much as I want anytime I damned well please without even disclosing that fact.
