European leaders have now not only lost faith in Donald Trump’s U.S. presidency, but also in America’s hegemony as a whole. But short-term challenges make an immediate divorce unwise.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn recently that a bunch of my friends have also removed most american products from their lives. one friend just buys whatever suits his needs, and moves on. but most of the rest of us in that group have made a conscious choice to not buy american products and/or choose Canadian products instead, without it impacting our lives in any noticeable negative way (cost, availability, quality, etc)
I think the largest impact this has had on me is that the closest grocery store to me has a shitty selection of pickles, it’s still half Bick’s and I’d rather not have pickles than buy american pickles
I’m both quiet and loud about it
