No need to tear it down, they are historically important buildings that can be used for educating people on the horrible ideology of the country. Make everyone look at The Apotheosis of Washington and teach them about the concept of civil religion. Show them the monuments for all the American kids the state drafted and murdered for the sake of “freedom” in Vietnam and Korea (pointing out that the victims from North Vietnam, North Korea, China, etc. go unremarked) and tell them about what actually happened in those wars and why.
