I feel like the contrast of these posts really exemplify it. I don’t fucking care about the white house ufc arena I just don’t fucking care. No one is going to make me care about such a frivilous fucking spectacle. I’m so tired

Like obviously the wars are worse. And the pearl-clutching distracts from the wars/senseless murder of civilians. And the child rape. And everything else.

But this is more blantant corruption on top of everything else. He bought like $50k worth shares (that we know about) of the parent company behind UFC in late March before announcing this massive spectacle starring the UFC, which has already increased its stock price ~20%. So this is yet another corrupt grift - that’s the real story, not “hEs MaKiNg A mOcKeRy Of OuR sAcReD iNsTiTuTiOnS” or just drawing him as a fat orange baby (which will definitely hurt his feelings). Despite it being relatively minor, before trump 1 this is insider trading and would have been a moderate to large scandal that may have led to impeachment, as it should.

Yeah sorry, that is a bad take. Multiple things can be bad at once. There are good reasons to be mad about this scenario (corruption) and bad reasons (pearl clutching). Neither takes away from the murdering children, one is much stupider than the other, though.

Just because he is also murdering children doesn’t mean he should get away with theft and corruption, too. He should not get away with either thing. To achieve that requires both things being known.

The huffpo link has accurate info. I wanted to post something without a paywall. Like, here’s fucking sports illustrated if you prefer https://www.si.com/fannation/wrestling/president-donald-trump-is-reportedly-now-a-tko-shareholder

Or new york times, which is hardly any better than huff https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7319008/2026/05/29/trump-white-house-ufc-fight-stock/

Yeah nice one. That was said sarcastically, as a very obvious joke about a literal gay trans communist dog. A dog that was communist, trans, and gay and what a reactionary would say about such a dog. It was dumb, but when it was reported I sincerely apologized.

I think you are not being productive and I will not engage with you further. But I hope you have a nice night.

Satire demands clarity of purpose. You were rightfully chastised for your unfunny “joke” and all my other critiques still stand.

Sarcastic racism is still racism, sarcastic queerphobia is still that, if you don’t make it clear then you are at fault.

$50k worth shares of the parent company behind UFC in late March before announcing this massive spectacle starring the UFC, which has already increased its stock price ~16%

Did you leave out a zero or something or was it actually that little? 50k is… I mean with his portfolio that’s basically a rounding error. Are you sure his brokers didn’t just pick that up in some kind of index type thing?

He picked up $7000 on that deal, then. I have a feeling that’s /probably/ not related.

And I wouldn’t be so sure about that if we didn’t just have him publicly talking about invading Iran for oil profit yesterday, and that’s a conversation that’s taking place in the billions of dollars range not the thousands.

I think even numerically it’s barely something to talk about if it’s really a $50k affair.
