Absolutely, and I’m assuming most people here would agree. The footnote is really just so that other people have Ansarallah’s own official rhetoric in case they ever need it, but I’m sure that the average Yemeni on the street hasn’t given the slogan nearly as much thought as a PR spokesman working with Anglo media, anyways. If nothing else, “because we always hear from our enemy about how the people bombing our shit are all innocent smolbeans chosen and blessed by God” is a good explanation for why “motherfuck the goddamn Jews” feels so particularly cathartic for many Yemenis to shout.
