And while it doesn’t really compare, it is funny to note that the Danish royal family has a senior member so supremely annoying it almost caused republicanism, just because people really don’t like him.
I’m surprised really. William has only had an official independent income for a few years now, while Charles has had years of sucking the duchy of cornwall dry. Is the duchy of cornwall that much more valuable than the duchy of lancaster?
I read that William has 600 properties that he rents out, and they are all damp and mouldy and he won’t fix them, he’s a slum landlord basically.
Yea that’s the duchy of cornwall, it’s been that way for as long as I’ve known about it. It’s just that it’s weird that the duchy of lancaster (The equivalent real estate portfolio owned by the sitting monarch) is so much less valuable.
