When you kick out French imperialists, and then roll out the red carpet for the Zionist entity.
Massive Troaré L. Thomas Sankara must be spinning in his grave right now.
🚨 BREAKING: David Hundeyin nukes everyone in this thread including me from orbit. Let’s all take a lap. Well I did make a Burkina Faso community on here because we hardly talk about it, but it’s really hard to get news without stuff like auto translation I just set up a few weeks ago.

3 days after Traoré is all over the news for breaking off diplomatic relations with France, which gets a good reception, some obscure christian zionist Twitter handle puts out a bullshit tweet portraying a routine change of an accredited Israeli ambassador (based in Cote d’Ivoire) as “Traoré developing closer ties with Israel” and you bunch supposedly “anti-imperialist” dumbasses fall for the headfake instantly without making any attempt to even understand what you are looking at.
And this is precisely why I have zero interest in any kind of western leftism. Your racist, 1-dimensional, brainless, uncritical imperial reflexes are stronger than your supposed ideology. Your own governments are all actively helping Israel murder Gazans and massacre Iranian schoolgirls, and you can’t do anything about that.
But you can always pass your dumb, reactive judgements on an African who is actually leading a successful anti-imperialist project, without giving him the 30 seconds of grace it would have taken you to Google Burkina Faso’s relationship with Israel and realise that there is no Israeli ambassador to Burkina Faso, there has always been an Israeli ambassador to Cote d’Ivoire who is accredited to Burkina Faso and Togo, and it is ordinary diplomatic process for every new ambassador to officially present himself to all 3 heads of state.
You utter bunch of utter idiots who come from countries led by Epstein Islanders with rape convictions cannot Google things before eagerly pouncing on Ibrahim Traoré to wank your outrage rocks off as if he’s your problem!
Wait why did I trust that you guys know what’s going on. You take the MMT criticisms of China seriously. I haven’t grown one bit.

On the Context of Burkina Faso President Ibrahim Traoré’s 26 June 2026 reception welcoming H.E. Simon-Clément Seroussi, who holds the title of “Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Burkina Faso”
The widely circulated photograph evinces a relationship that currently consists of ceremonial meetings and regional ambassadorship roles. “Israel’s” ambassador in question, Seroussi, is a resident ambassador in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, and a non-resident ambassador to Burkina Faso, Benin, and Togo. The “Israeli” embassy page confirms Seroussi’s title as ambassador in Côte d’Ivoire; his own public profile says the post also covers Togo, Benin, and Burkina Faso. The 26 June 2026 event was a credential-presentation ceremony for a new ambassador. In December 2023, Traoré also received credentials from “Israel’s” then-new ambassador Rony Yedidia Clein, resident in Abidjan. (Rony Yedidia Clein likewise was ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire and also accredited to Benin, Burkina Faso, and Togo. She presented credentials in Burkina Faso in December 2023, and in Togo in August 2023.)
Diplomatic histories evince that Burkina Faso’s diplomatic relations were inaugurated in 1961 and were severed in October 1973. Under President Aboubacar Sangoulé Lamizana, Burkina Faso, then Upper Volta, broke diplomatic relations with “Israel” following the October Arab-“Israeli” War/“Yom Kippur War.” They were re-established in October 1993 (on the heels of the Oslo Accords’ “Oslo I,” signed that September) by Blaise Compaoré, after the CIA-backed coup against Sankara. Currently, “Israel” has no resident embassy in Burkina Faso. The Israeli ambassador is based in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, and concurrently accredited to Burkina Faso, Togo, and Benin. “Israel’s” MFA page confirms Seroussi’s concurrent accreditation. In both Seroussi and Clein’s case, the ambassadors have lived in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
It is worth noting that, in its 9 October 2023 article title “Israel’s ‘Shin Bet’ Diplomacy in West Africa,” the “Africa Intelligence” outlet reported on “Israel’s” West Africa strategy, writing that “The Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ronen Levi aka ‘Maoz’ is turning the institution into a more strategic tool,” seeking to integrate security apparatuses into the Sahel region via such channels. Africa Intelligence reports that Traoré approved Seroussi’s position, warily noting that “Israel” seems to beinstrumentalizing the relationship to facilitate a counterweight to Burkina Faso’s rapprochement with Iran. I have not found evidence that there is reason to think that intelligence-gathering inroads have been made in Burkina Faso.
Re: Palestine, Traoré himself has not made outright public statements that I have found. Ousmane Bougouma—President of the Transitional Legislative Assembly, who has been entrusted to represent Traoré as head of state abroad, including at the November 2024 Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh—has, however. At the summit in Riyadh, on 11 November 2024, Sidwaya reported him as representing the official Burkina Faso position of “working toward a peaceful solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict” (translation mine).
Under Traoré, Burkina Faso’s UN record is generally pro-Palestine when it votes, though it has abstained on some Gaza-related resolutions. It was non-voting on A/RES/ES-10/21, UN Digital Library record 4025240, and A/RES/ES-10/22, record 4029732. It voted yes on Palestine’s UN status resolution A/RES/ES-10/23, record 4046991, and on the ICJ occupation advisory-opinion resolution A/RES/ES-10/24, record 4061432. It also voted yes on the Gaza ceasefire resolution A/RES/ES-10/26, record 4069197, but was non-voting on the UNRWA mandate resolution A/RES/ES-10/25, record 4069198. In 2025, it voted yes on the New York Declaration decision A/DEC/80/506, record 4088074, and on Palestine participation at the eightieth session, A/RES/80/1, record 4088513.
Well good to know that the reddit-style interface & algo we painstakingly rebuilt to continue suffering will prevent actually correcting this misinfo on here 😌 talking to people can certainly be tiresome
Increasingly unsure what the difference is between left fedi and stupidpol!
You take the MMT criticisms of China seriously.
no I don’t!
Alright fine I’ll stop making generalizations and focus the genocide and shit whatever man
reposting this Boise_idaho comment from the news mega
Interesting commentary (alongside the dude just ranting):
https://xcancel.com/DavidHundeyin/status/20717603477996835343 days after Traoré is all over the news for breaking off diplomatic relations with France, which gets a good reception, some obscure christian zionist Twitter handle puts out a bullshit tweet portraying a routine change of an accredited Israeli ambassador (based in Cote d’Ivoire) as “Traoré developing closer ties with Israel” and you bunch supposedly “anti-imperialist” dumbasses fall for the headfake instantly without making any attempt to even understand what you are looking at.
I’ve been coming to believe through threads like these that the leading ideology of Hexbear is “Marxism-Leninism-Gobshitism”: people with underdeveloped leftist ideas come to Hexbear; eventually become reliant on Hexbear for their social needs; and what ends up happening because of this arrangement is that “leftism” here just becomes a series of memes that people endlessly quote at each other as a signifier of group belonging, or “kulture” as I call it. I wonder if some of the people here have subconsciously convinced themselves that by merely being on Hexbear, they’re developing their understanding of the world, as if developing one’s knowledge through this site doesn’t require active will, effort, and struggle, just as developing one’s knowledge through any other means.
So, many people here make no effort at deeper understanding: trying to have the correct reaction to a headline at a glance alone, is merely a game of call and response to see who belongs here the most.
it has its flaws but this is the only social space I have that isn’t suffocating in capitalist death sludge making me feel like I’m the only person who gives a shit
Yeah, that’s how it is for me too.
/thread
good list of usernames to not pay attention to anymore though
Yeah I’m gonna wait until I hear the justifications/corrections about this visit from actual officials of Troare’s government and not from the self-serving mouth of some blood diamond zionist hawk who lies as he breathes
Either this is kayfabe to buy time to prevent American drone strikes or the US helping France arm ISIS…
Or Troare is a zionist all of a sudden, time and more info is needed
Edit: And what do you know, turns out it’s complete bullshit https://xcancel.com/DavidHundeyin/status/2071760347799683534, our resident doomers can stop flagellating themselves for daring to support an African leader
Edit: turns out the Israel thing is bullshit, huzzah!!
Between this and being a massive queerphobe…

whatever will burkina faso do without your support…
We can support anti-Imperialist projects while also recognizing that things like queerphobia in these places are vestiges of Colonialism that were imposed by the west.
What are they gonna do with your support…
Massive Troaré L. Thomas Sankara must be spinning in his grave right now.
perhaps they found a way to use that to generate electricity
Wait till you hear about China
China deserves to be shit on for that as well. Like I’ve said before, not everything has to be defended.
Most Chinese people are not happy about it either I think.
All but one Chinese person who I’ve discussed Palestine with is pro Palestine. The pro Israel one was hanging out with a pro Israel German dude and I think was just bad at English and uninformed as he seemed to know nothing.
But but but but but le hexBORING tunkies love authoritarianism!!!
(A lot of situations more local to me don’t feel particularly well understood on here but I’m sympathetic to those willing to look past the reflexive thinking reinforced throughout life)
He’s been too friendly with the UAE for a while so I kinda saw this coming

put another really big critical on the pile

I get the general sense that Traoré et al are more national liberationists than anti-imperialists. And the veneration of Sankara is in a similar vein. But I am really unsure about what the underlying political realities are.
my goat washed

Oof.
