They never emerged, but since then it’s been super clear that even his family values oriented Evangelist Christian followers are eager to forgive him for anything.
Hence the hypothetical that he could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and never lose a single vote.
In fact, he loses MAGA voters all the time, but one at a time, after they’ve deconstructed their own loyalty and come to accept they’ve been played. (It raises the question if they’ve actually learned empathy, that programs that help the undeserved might help them and theirs as well, but they seem to consistently quit MAGA when they come to terms that they’ve been harmed, themselves.)
