I don’t think it’s the reading, but the murder that’s considered to be terrorism. They just think that because of the literature, he may be a communist. Whether that is relevant to the murder or not remains to be seen. Would have been better if he’d offed Nigel Farage.

Isn’t it only terrorism when it’s politically motivated? That is, it’s a murder, but if they found “communist literature” then now it’s being boom politically motivated terrorism and can be charged as such

Until they release what the books are, it doesn’t say anything about the suspect’s beliefs. I’m sure plenty of people have some literature by a communist because a lot of classic or influential lit was penned by a communist. If you’ve got a bookshelf full of obscure Verso books then sure, probably a lefty, but a few classic books that happen to be by communists doesn’t say anything lol.

Edit: not sure if it came across this way but I’m not arguing with you to be clear—I’m sure you haven’t jumped to the conclusion that the suspect is a communist. Just commenting is all.

farage might be the easiest it’s ever been for a prole to get away with murdering a politician. stuff the corpse in a bin and they’ll waste all their time with the count instead of looking for the real killer.
