AI and social media are both shit and are both addictive.

But I think one reason for the AI-hate on social media is that the people who spend hours a day talking to chatbots and generating images, those people are not also spending hours a day on social media.

You pick up your phone for no reason. What do you open? What’s your source of shitty low-quality conversation? If it’s a chatbot it’s probably not a forum, and as these addictions are deepen, the AI users stop voicing their opinions online because they’re busy talking to 1s and 0s

    Eventually, at this point in time I still see them on Facebook and some ooing over their obvious jank imagery and marveling over how they can’t tell its AI and optimistic/fearful of the future (while everything I see on there is still is yellow tinge of creative poverty slop with 6 fingers) with the occasional comments about AI’s harm of the environment and people being too quick in making cl*nker a slur to dehumanize other actual people in the section rather than the so-called exclusive target on ‘bots’, nothing ever new.

    I open my todo app personally, don’t need a lot of conversation, real nor simulated.
