So uh, most dish washers will heat the water if it comes in too cold. It’s a little more expensive than letting the water heater do it, and it’ll take longer to finish. you usually just set it to the hottest wash option, and it’ll heat the water inside the wash tub once full
Mister Heat Pumps (Technology Connections) claims the heaters in at least north American dishwashers are generally really weak and won’t properly heat cold water.

The entire hot water line is disabled (the death was a massive leak) so it doesn’t get water at all rn and theres no good way to bypass.
I certainly tried, though, cuz i assumed that was the case :)
