Usually I’m all for uncanny ugly stuff
But there is something so genuinely annoying about how they look that makes me cringe so hard its actually a visceral reaction. I don’t know if it’s because 90% of them make eye contact at the veiwer (my autism hates eye contact), or that most of them are such mean-spirited characatures (the anti-trans ones in particular) that it immediately disgusts me or what.
It’s like I can smell the intent to manipulate with stereotypes and it immediately rage baits me.
I remember in 2016 I was saying that there’s no reason that Pepe had a resurgence and wojak didn’t. Like you should invest in wojak stocks because he’s at least as versatile a meme as Pepe. I was right.
So this is to say that Pepe will have a new renaissance in the near future, my guess is a 2028 election. But also I miss when wojak was the feels guy. Like they’d put him in a RHCP music video with the caption “I don’t ever want to feel that feel I felt that day”
Edit: I lied, there’s an Internet dialect in some parts of live streaming where people use Pepe. He’s invoked with a -ge suffix like weirdge where he’s looking skeptical, susge when he’s suspiciously squinting, wokege for being awoken by a loud noise and deadge when you die in game
