If a democrat were to be granted three wishes by a genie they would first negotiate the number of wishes down to one and then use their wish on something they imagine a republican would like.

Did you know… the only purpose of elections is to vote for the winner?

    Well, now you do.

NBC straight up just invented this person, I mean look at the last paragraph, how utterly convenient NBC happened to innocently come across the one “human being” who robotically spits out neolib talking points concerning electability, cause that’s what normal people care about, who neolibs consider electable

I am a risk-averse person”, “I was really reading alot about like who has the chances to beat Tom Tiffany” who talks like that unless they’re doing a bit

The only people torn about voting for either party are leftists or literally cattle that you could convince they’d grow a massive hog if they voted Democrat

No good things. Don’t even try to ask for good things. At least they are starting to make some level of traction, but Tiffany might win this shit anyways.

El-Sayd’s election night in Michigan will be interesting. The primary challenger he beat was a CIA-AIPAC dem and won by like a .3 margin against the R primary winner in 2024 and current challenge (who is also AIPAC).

The narrative is that you need the centrest to win in a state that could go either way because that’s who’s going to reach the swing voters.

If he gets a blow out by like 4 or 6 points in the “purple”-est of states then it is illusion shattering on the idea of a linear political spectrum. After all, a right wing convert isn’t going to go through a political evolution through being a lib to wanting an end to the cruel excesses of capitalism. Libs are not cool! They’re not 50% of the way to cool. Eventually between AOC, Ilhan, and crew alongside Mamdani catching fire, the idea that doing things is not the political poison it has been touted to be.

Of course, if he loses we get 20 more years of left bashing and votebloo

That logic is sound enough. Any large movement will involve compromise.

Where it breaks down is when they attempt to later brow-beat the left with the exact opposite argument. “The swing voter may literally vote for Trump if you don’t compromise, but you can’t similarly threaten to withhold your vote otherwise you’re basically voting for Trump.” And that’s not even getting into what they want to “compromise” on.

Threatening to withhold votes over an issue is a tactic that’s been proven successful. It been no small part of dragging the Republican Party right. They just don’t want us to do it.

better things aren’t possible unless we win, so we have to take the person who doesn’t offer better things because they’ll win by not scaring anyone!

immediately loses because no beneficial policies were offered to the people

The same people who breathlessly accuse GOP hogs of “voting against their interest” (without realizing that the bloodthirsty hogs’ interest is spreading human suffering and making everything worse) will turn around and performatively vote against their own interest by supporting bloodless ghouls everyone hates who then eat shit because everyone hates them.

See, by running 99% hitler against hitler, the only people who will vote hitler are the people right of hitler, while all the people who want moderate hitler will vote Democrat, and everyone who doesn’t want hitler will vote 99% hitler too. This model definitely matches observations and predicts every election.

exactly, elections are literally an episode of the price is right and anyone who thinks otherwise doesn’t understand civics or the political process

(edit: just realising this could be interpreted as some commentary about money/lobbying, when i just meant to refer to libs treating it as a game of “closest without going over” but it’s right-wing policy instead of the price of a dishwasher)

          • You give them a Hitler particle detector and they use it to stay exactly one millihitler away from the GOP candidate and when that fails their response is to decrease that margin to one microhitler in the next election cycle.

Don’t worry about going over, if a democrat flanks a republican from the right, say by bombing more countries or deporting more brown people, that means all the most extreme republican voters who were about to vote Trump instantly flip over and vote democrat, because 101% hitler is even closer to their positions.
