I usually get sweaty at work but today I just fucking reek. And I didn’t really eat anything unusual last night so idk what it is.

What are you wearing by chance? Same clothes as always? My wife never smells bad usually (compared to me, who is sweaty or damp 89% of the time), but if she wears a certain kind of polyester in a dress or something, it smells bad, like crazy onions. Never happens with any other material…

I’ve got a coworker who swears that stress and anxiety make her smell terrible even without being sweaty and while still wearing deodorant.

When you say you didn’t eat anything unusual, do you mean you ate a meal you normally eat, but perhaps the source of ingredients was different to normal?

    Stimulant intake?

Change in deodorant or shower gel, shampoo etc or laundry detergent, conditioner etc?

Water tank in your building/house recently re-chlorinated?

sometimes the stank just gets locked into your shirt and it needs a real soak or something

idk i was just wearing a T shirt the other day and compared to the rest of my T shirts, I felt like i smelled real bad compared to usual - and i was just sitting around home and took the dog for a light walk. I then realised that even though I do my laundry regularly and never re-wear shirts, the smell had to be baked into the shirt

Yes it can happen. Especially if you pack your clothes too tight in the washing machine.

Details differ depending on your exact laundry set up, but pre soaking with baking soda, oxy, vinegar, ammonia (ONE at a time, not all at once) will usually help. If one doesn’t work after soak + launder + dry, try another. Hot water wash + hot drier or line dry in bright sun if you can do it.

good tips - we’ve also previously ‘borax stripped’ certain items and i’m probably overdue on another one or a similar soak

Oh yes borax, I knew I forgot one.

One at a time only. You can also soak with detergent (assuming it is plain, not containing any of he other chemicals).

Normally I have no BO, don’t even wear deodorant but when I did the frog medicine kambo I would end up having BO when I sweated for a week or two after each session. I figure the smell has to do with stuff we’re detoxing from our body
