I’ve noticed that Americans have a different stereotype of trans women to Latinos.

In America they think of a man in a dress and a beard and colored hair, but that’s not the stereotype I’ve ever seen in Latin America, Latinos always think of a woman with huge boobs and butt, dolled up but with a comically deep voice and is likely to be a prostitute.

I don’t know where the American stereotype came from, but as a Latina sadly I can say our stereotype comes from the fact we’re forced to be hyper feminine and do sex work to even survive but you’ll still be at risk of being brutally assaulted.

Honestly, the “I identify as an attack helicopter” and the “trans women are pretentious SJWs who are offended about everything” stereotypes feel quaint these days as the usual offenders have generally moved on to calling us child abusers and sexual predators in the U.S.
