I might be totally off base or this discourse has been discoursed already. I can’t help but notice the sheer and almost coordinated effort on social media to highlight things like male loneliness epidemic, general gender war bullshit, mAn Vs wOMaN lately.
These posts, along with the general upwards trend of minority hate, feel like they serve to ignite a sort of male chauvinism in the USA. I can’t help but feel like the whole endgame here is to groom men into the sort of ideology that would justify fighting in a future war (or hell, even just Iran).
Sorry if my writing is sloppy I did not take the time to draft this post and think about it holistically before posting…
I think you’re right. I also think it’s part of the conservative narrative. They aim to divide us as much as possible. “Men are men, women are women, nothing in between and no changing what you are. Men are biologically better suited for leading, working, and fighting, and women are biologically suited for having as many babies as possible so we have more bodies to churn into profit.”
