If she was really serious, she’d put forth a resolution to repeal the 2017 tax laws that gave $1.5 trillion to the ultra wealthy, increase corporations taxes to pre Reagan days, and individuals taxes to Eisenhowers day.

Other than that, fuck right off you Mewling Quim.

These people really don’t understand the difference between household budgets and sovereign nations, do they? Does she think a bank is going to repo an aircraft carrier or something?

    1. Someone tell this worthless person that national debt does not work like personal debt, and that the debt of the world’s reserve currency is even more different.

    2. As a Republican, you’re not saving the Republic at all, bless your heart.

While national debt doesn’t work like personal debt, I still isn’t good and our country’s national debt and the rate at which its increasing should be a concern. We had a few countries in recent years demonstrate on a very small scale its problems… see Greece for instance. As the world’s largest economy the US wont have anyone to bail us out like the EU very painfully did for Greece.

The US should be rolling back the Republican-era tax cuts to stop the hemorrhaging.

As long as the United States continues to make payments on its debt obligations, there’s no real reason why anyone wouldn’t still lend it money. After all, the only reason to not lend money is if the lender believes the risk of non-payment is too great, and if that ever happened there’s probably a great many more worse things going on (like the US not being a functional country anymore.)

This I don’t know for certain, but I would guess that Greece isn’t a comparable hypothetical to the US, since Greece as a member of the Eurozone uses the euro as their currency and thus can’t control it the same way the US controls the dollar. Also doesn’t Greece have similar issues with tax-dodging as the US?

The US should be rolling back the Republican-era tax cuts

        On this we completely agree.

You just don’t understand. Tax cuts allowed job creators to create more jobs. Tax cuts are like printing money for everyone in the whole country. Do you know what we need to solve the debt crisis? More tax cuts! Maybe we eliminate the IRS altogether.

I live in her district. She is an obvious Russian agent. I got a call from her campaign before her first election and they asked me “How important is improving trade and diplomatic relations between the US and Russia to you as a voter?”

She’s literally a Ukrainian immigrant who advocates against Russia.

The most important thing! Behind voting reform; behind protecting people’s rights; behind weath inequality; behind healthcare; behind green initiatives; behind infrastructure; behind judge appointments; behind funding for social programs; behind reform of the prison system; behind living wages; behind…

And then finally relations between US and Russia. On second thought, nahh I don’t really care.

If Congress does not pass a debt commission this year to move the needle on the crushing national debt and inflation, at least at the next debt ceiling increase at the end of 2024, I will not continue sacrificing my children for this circus

Ahh. So she’s one of the child sacrifice Republicans

She is priming for public support to force the US to default. This will be either to extract concessions from opposition in Congress (like a hostage negotiation), or to create a global economic catastrophe. Or both.

Of course, she will not resign. She swears a false oath. This was a winning strategy for them in June. Naturally, they will try it again.
