The thing has multiple cameras and microphones and is 100% listening to and watching everything we say or do. It’s your phone, if that’s not obvious by now.

If it’s a smart TV, she’s right, just not for the reasons she thinks. The TV collects data and uses that for advertising. If it has a microphone or camera, that’s also a potential vector for attack, but I don’t think she’s interesting enough to spy on.
I mean, she’s an idiot but she’s not entirely wrong either: Modern TVs try to collect all sorts of data on us, it’s why smart TVs are cheaper than commercial displays with no smart features
