      The Narcissist’s Prayer:

      “That didn’t happen.
And if it did, it wasn’t that bad.
And if it was, that’s not a big deal.
And if it is, that’s not my fault.
And if it was, I didn’t mean it.
And if I did, you deserved it.”

You didn’t see any of the SNC lavalin stuff did you?

What about his black face costume?

How about the law to make social media companies pay news outlets for having their articles shared on those platforms, then producing radio ads saying “meta and google are blocking your news!!”

How about freezing the bank accounts of nonviolent protestors and anyone who supported them

He shrugs all of that off, and goes by that narcissistic prayer. I’m not sure why anyone is defending this guy lol, is it just because he’s affiliated with the liberal party?

He just recently had to pull back his over priced carbon tax because we’re all too broke. This plan literally only hurts the poor classes.

god forbid we stop this left vs right nonsense and come together

He froze the bank accounts of the freedom convoy because the fundraiser was organized by a white supremicist and someone who wants western Canada to secede. Like literal racist traitors. They arrested members of diagalon during that time, who had staged weapons near coutts.

But Trudeau wore a shitty costume one time so samesies.

We can’t stop this “right vs left nonsense” because the right is trying to exclude from society anyone who isn’t a straight Christian, and are gathering momentum so quickly and deftly people like you don’t even see it because of how removed from reality the right wing information ecosystems are.

Tamara lich/Chris Barber are white supremacists? How’d you come to that conclusion? Or are you confusing 2 different groups?

Yes you’re right about those politicians on the right trying to exclude people - the Christian nationalists in the US are horrible, so much for separation from state and church

Pat King was the biggest leader of the convoy, he is for sure a white supremicist per his own recorded words.

And why let Tamara collect money to basically fund a civil war?

Name calling isn’t what makes someone unintelligent. Supporting bigoted regressive policies, along with supporting the anti science movement is what exposes people as unintelligent.

Don’t mistake bad faith arguments with beliefs.

They believe in acquiring power in any way necessary. For most, that means pandering to their constituents, which means saber rattling for MAGA.

Just like you can’t take the religious right for their “beliefs” either. They are just exploiting a rabid easily rallied base.

Nothing tells me someone has a very specific bone to pick more than jumping to blaming the Republicans on Christianity. It’s putting the cart before the horse, and taking too much of what they say at face value. Remembering, of course, they’re all pathological liars.

It’s kind of depressing to know even some people on the left haven’t figured out yet who these fuckers actually are. Religion is not at their core, nor is conservativism, not even nationalism. Those are all just addons.

It’s pure, uncut selfishness, greed, and hate. All other belief systems are erected on top of that as needed, and often interchangeably.

This is mostly true. What major bills did Republicans pass under Trump? Tax cuts for the rich. It’s always tax cuts for the rich. That’s their religion.

It is a core feature of most religions that

          1. There are hidden forces at work in the world
          2. The workings of these hidden forces are more important than the processes we can see, and follow a grand plan

This belief is strikingly similar to conspiratorial worldviews, and the likelihood of subscribing to QAnon and other conspiracy theories rises substantially with increasing religiosity.

They’re not the same thing, but they are definitely related

Not sure about the country as a whole, but at least in my experience the republicans I know would never have said they thought he tried to begin with. Usually they see the capital riots as something beyond what Trump was expecting, as untrue as that has come been shown to be.

I think jailing the Orange Menace will snap a lot of them out of it. A few will probably be ballsy enough to take some kind of action, but they’ll be the minority and look like thugs. It just sucks that people are probably going to get hurt over this. I say just let the justice system do its thing.

Majority of Republicans now insist Trump never tried to overturn election

Of course they insist that- they were involved then and don’t want consequences now
