Well so long as Hamas is getting rockets, Israel needs them too. When you figure out how to stop rockets getting to Hamas, then we can talk about disarming Israel.
Israel is one of the wealthiest countries in the world. They are not at any serious risk of genocide and they don’t need our money to keep killing Palestinians. It’s the Palestinians who need help preventing genocide, not fucking Israel.
Of course Israel has a right to defend its people. Of course, it failed to do that on October 7. Still, i can’t argue that most people consider this kind of revenge to be also a component of self defense. Certainly that was true, for example, with the US’s war in Afghanistan.
However, speaking of genocide, Hamas (hell, all of Palestine) is not in a position to seriously threaten the Israeli people as a whole nor the Israeli Jews specifically.
Nor does this mean the US in particular is required to unconditionally provide an unlimited number of weapons to Israel.
You’re obviously being facetious, in response to my facetious comment so I’m not really sure what your angle is, but how do you actually propose to stop the killing on both sides?
I don’t. I’m just making a joke. There’s nothing we can do. They don’t want to stop. Meanwhile a bunch of innocent people are dying. What do we do? Go in as a global collaborative and say “stop?” I mean, no governments are going to do that. It also sets an ugly precedent. Who decides what’s worth fighting for? The good guys or the bad guys? Everyone seems bad to me. I’m curious what the average Israeli civilian thinks of all this. They can’t agree, can they?
Sure, you wanna call to tell them or should I?
They both stopped answering my emails a while back
So we should probably stop giving them bombs.
Who’s giving bombs to both sides?
Russia maybe? Not sure that matters, though.
Sure, we just also have to figure out how to prevent Hamas from being given rockets.
I’m pretty sure the US isn’t giving them rockets so we’re good on that.
Well so long as Hamas is getting rockets, Israel needs them too. When you figure out how to stop rockets getting to Hamas, then we can talk about disarming Israel.
Yeah i don’t think that’s a real argument.
Yes it is, unless you think Israel doesn’t have a right to protect it’s citizens and you’re okay with genocide against the Israeli Jews.

Why not though? If Hamas has weapons they’re going to use them whether Israel can respond or not.
That’s still not an argument.
Hamas is literally digging up water pipes to turn them into rockets so in a roundabout way they kind of are giving them stuff to build rockets
Perhaps if we make a TikTok together asking them nicely to stop fighting. Maybe we could usher in a new era of peace with our thoughts and prayers.
