I grew up with $20 walmart blenders, and hated anything that required a blender.
Recently bought a ninja and there is no going back. I’ll never use a crappy blender again.

I have a ninja professional and my brother has a Vitamix. Yes, his is a little quieter and nicer feeling, but it is nowhere near $500 better.
Most of the difference is in the construction, service, and repairability.
If you buy a vitamix, your kids or the company will die before that blender.
