I built these muscles on beans and rice

as a former tech worker, now entry level manual laborer i gotta say
tech workers thirst for the boot is off the charts compared to every other profession i have worked. I had lead developers tell me they loved crunch time. The unpaid overtime we all did was probably thousands of labor hours and only a few of us complained.
Meanwhile, my manual labor buddies have been doing wildcat strikes at work when one of our bosses is a hardass or works us too hard. this started long before i started there. Copshit rules mean we can’t unionize just our facility and have to do the entire megacorp at once, so it’s hard, but most of us at least at my facility are pro union. Workers are openly joking about anticapitalim during work meetings and shit, and our work chat is 99% shitting on the CEO and upper management.
The difference between the two is night and day. It’s healing after having to hide my power level for so long among the bootlickers

imo that shit doesn’t even count. i’m on the autism spectrum and anytime i have to hide my freak i just feel my will to live draining

oh don’t worry, as a former tech worker i basically have a gun pointed at every machine in my house, so i’m right there with you. Just like, microwave waves are safer than cancer sticks lol

my FIL genuinely believes the microwave is too unsafe to use because it’ll give you cancer or something. he also smokes cigs

I am so done with tech that i turned my linkedin into an obvious parody CEO account and the AI keeps sending me CEO jobs and invites to shit like Forbes Business shit lmfao
anyway john brown did nothing wrong
