And there is my justification to not rake up any of the leaves at my place comfy-cool besides just pissing off grillman which is always a valid reason in and of itself

They aren’t overwintering on my driveway (also no fireflies in my part of the country). That’s why I use an electric plug-in mulcher to suck up all the dead leaves and put them on my beds.

we have gardeners/groundskeepers that come weekly (our block of flats has a load of posh cunts that actually OWN their properties) and every year they religiously blow the leaves off of all the grass in the estate that no one ever sits on or uses apart from maybe twice in the summer. All of said leaves then mulch down on the paths and roads making them slippery, which rocks when it’s uphill to leave said estate.

And since I rent, I don’t get an invite to the AGM to point out how stupid this is.

    very cool!

I used to live in an apartment complex that was circular, and had a courtyard in the middle of the circle. The mandatory renter’s maintenance payments contributed towards a man with a leaf blower visiting weekly, around this time of year. They’d spend at least an hour each time, blowing what few leaves were there, with all the noise being amplified by an impromptu soundhole. Idiot boys with their idiot toys.
