    I don’t understand what it means to “blame voters”. That’s just how democracy works. If you don’t inspire people to vote for you then you don’t get the votes.

      Democrats don’t value democracy so much as they value being in control. The only way to maintain their sense of unassailable moral superiority is to remain the political status quo.

      Without that, they have to confront the fact that people have increasingly little use, respect, or patience for their two-faced, fair-weather-friend political beliefs.

      it’s voting in the wrong lizard logic. people didn’t show up to vote against the wrong lizard, so the people who voted for the right lizard assign them blame, since not having lizards isn’t thought of as a realistic option.
